Izumi Shiokawa Polar Bear Drawer Pouch Dangle

The Drawer Pouch Dangle is a messenger bag-type pouch that allows you to carry around your wallet, cell phone, keys and pens. It’s perfect to carry around your belongings with you when you head to town, when you’re in the office or at home. Illustrator Izumi Shiokawa drew this piece called “Polar Bear.” The illustration was first featured in a polar bear exhibit hosted by Hoboinchi in 2021, and was then featured on a 2023 Hobonichi Techo cover. Now it’s available for the first time as a Drawer Pouch design. The polar bear cubs doted on by their mother are depicted with thick, soft lineart and given adorable expressions. The back of the pouch has a polar bear splayed out on its belly and relaxing. Just looking at it will give you a gentle feeling inside.
